Just started customizing my XP and the instructions are rather vague. Everything works fine but when I use a theme, and shutdown, I usually have to find and reload the theme since none of my settings are saved. Is this normal? Is there a way to save the themes or folders in a specific location to avoid having to reload any given theme every time I restart my XP?
You can usually save themes anywhere without this happening. That is, if you're talking about .msstyles. Make sure you've used the right version of the UXthemePatcher.
If thats not the problem, try turning off system restore? Nothing else comes to mind.
