There are a lot of submissions that come in everday. (it doesnt help that fractal.design removed about 20 of his subs, the restored them so they have to be re-ranked). There isnt really any available staff to rank I dont think.

Always keep in mind that staff ranking is harder than it appears to be on first sight, the longer I was doing it the harder it became.

why do undeleted subs need to be re-ranked anyway?

When you delete a submission, you take them out of the score calculation, so they basically lose their place in line. When you restore a submission, you have to find a new place for it in the "line". That's why they have to be re ranked, a technical mechanism.

And as Hermik said, it gets harder the longer you do it.
